Ido and I took an impromptu weekend trip to Paris earlier this month and I wanted to talk about the highlights of our trip. We had the best time and obviously, we ate… A lot. Like, a lot a lot. Basically, below I’m sharing the restaurants we visited and the best things we ate. Check out these spots next time you’re in Paris!
LES PROVINCES BOUCHERIE
First and foremost the CHICKEN PLACE! JUST GO! This butcher shop/cafe is all of my French heaven dreams come true. Juiciest chicken with perfected crispy potatoes.
SEMILLA
Located in the St Germain neighborhood this restaurant offers the perfect dining experience. Designed in an industrial aesthetic with white exposed brick and marble table tops while serving all the traditional dishes one’s heart might desire. Their most popular dish, the slow-cooked lamb to share, will not disappoint. Though the menu also has excellent options for vegetarian diners (their bean salad is raved about). Walk off dinner with a late night walk across Pont Neuf located nearby.
GARE AU GORILLE
Though this restaurant is located in an area that can sometimes be quieter in the evening, its convenience to the international train station and tapas style menu makes it the perfect option for a business lunch. Paris’ gorgeous department stores are also minutes walk away, a great way to take in the impeccable Parisian fashion.
MOSQUEE DE PARIS
When looking to step out of the traditional French dishes, Mosquee De Paris is a great pick! Between the perfectly portioned family-style meals and the gorgeous wisteria filled patio, it makes for a wonderful place to gather with friends or family. All the spices, smells, and architectural views will have your senses thinking you’ve escaped the city of lights and landed right in Morocco.
DESSANCE
WOW! This was my first impression of its BEAUTIFUL decor. And it didn’t end with the interior design. Their dishes are just as gorgeously created, allowing every menu option to truly be its own unique piece of art. They offer a 4-course vegetarian lunch for all the veggies visiting. A perfect place to indulge after exploring Le Marais or Le Centre Pompidou, both located nearby.
RESTAURANT DERRIERE

Tucked behind a charming courtyard is this centrally located hidden gem. With the interior design inspiration of Jean Luc Godard meets revolutionary France this was definitely a Parisian experience to remember.
