NYC OUTDOOR EATS AND SIPS

May 17, 2019

As soon as New York City hits the 60’s post-winter, I am immediately on the hunt for my new favorite patios, for delicious food and summer cocktails. I always love the idea of gathering around good food and great drinks but add the sunny outdoors and I’m there. I’ve put together some of my favorite places around the city to indulge while taking in my vitamin D, date drink with your love, or just sip sip during the warmer outdoor months!

ROBERTA’S

Not only is this one of my favorite slices in the NYC but they have an expansive outdoor space and bar! Roberta’s is the ultimate Brooklyn destination for a summer day of great food, local vibes, and refreshing cocktails. Don’t miss out on the Romaine salad. One of our faves.

BOUCHERIE

When I think of the ultimate outdoor dining, the image of a chic Parisian bistro with perfect people watching comes to mind. If you share the same vision, Boucherie is your summer Parisian escape right in the West Village. This international escape comes with a well-rounded wine list and all the French classic dishes everyone craves.

PIG BEACH

What’s summer without a BBQ? Pig Beach is known for its epic wood fire grill, fun original cocktails, and local brews. It’s location is in the heart of Gowanus between Carroll Gardens and Park Slope, making it a wonderful place to meet up with all the parental friends in your life! Stroller parking & cornhole included!

SMITH & MILLS

Located on a classic Tribeca cobblestone street in what used to be an old horse stable, Smith & Mills is a true time travel voyage. It’s old world architecture and perfected cocktail menu make for a romantic getaway. The abundance of charm is just spilling out of this local watering hole. Ladies, nudge your men because date night is calling!

RESTORATION HARDWARE ROOFTOP

How could I make of list of outdoor beverages without an NYC rooftop? This one, in particular, is like no other. Design meets elegance, meets summer, drinks, and food. What else could one hope for? Serving American local fare and unobscured downtown views, RH offers a glamorous escape from the city. You can also purchase a couch on your way out…so fun.;)

ALTRO PARADISO

One of my favorite aspects of this New York staple is their daily rotating menu. Making your dining experience much more personal. The food is insanely good. I’ve been several times and just when I think it can’t get better…it does. It’s refined Italian in all the best ways.

OXOMOCCO

L.A tacos in the heart of Greenpoint? Ill meet you there! Literally the L.A Mexican cuisine you’ve been craving. My personal favorite taco is their Lamb barbacoa taco. Wash it down with a smoked peach margarita or a frozen paloma.

COOKSHOP

Probably my favorite recommendation for a true NYC brunch. This restaurant, though always offering everything you might want,  has a way of also being unique and surprising. It’s local patrons have been regulars for years giving it a neighborhood feel, while always staying sophisticated. A true must.

MARLOW & SONS

My personal local favorite. Think pioneer rustic meets South Williamsburg hipster. It’s always farm to table with seasonal menus. Whether you pop in for coffee & my favorite croissant or an evening glass of wine, Marlow & sons always delivers. Pop into their local epicerie a few doors east on your way home for all your grocery essentials. Don’t and I mean don’t miss out of Marlow and daughters smoked trout, cream cheese and freshly baked breads from She wolf Bakery. Best Miche and sourdough batard in the city.
